Program Highlights

Pre-CASA Montessori Tools

With an array of authentic Montessori tools designed for toddlers age 15 months to 2.5 years, our Pre-Casa/Toddler classroom provides a nurturing home-like environment that fosters independence, creativity, language and math development, and motor movement. The Toddler materials may look simple, but based on years of observation, experiment and study, they are precisely designed. All materials support the child’s need for purposeful activity.

French, Music, Gym, & Arts Programs Included

At IMS, we believe that focusing on the whole child is crucial. Hence, a comprehensive set of enhancement programs are integrated with IMS’s core Montessori curriculum to ensure each child is developed as a well-rounded individual and is well prepared for his/her next level of education. French lessons, music classes, gym time, and arts studies are INCLUDED in our Pre-Casa/Toddler program.

Individualized Learning Plan & Tracking

No two students are the same. At IMS, we adhere to the Montessori principle on “follow the child”. Unlike traditional classroom setting that assumes every student should learn the same material based on grade level expectations, each child’s lesson plan at IMS is customized based on his/her interest and developmental readiness. A specialized planning and tracking system is used to document each student’s learning. Daily report is provided on diapers, meals, and nap. Progress report cards go home twice a year to update parents on their child’s progress.

Quality Staff and Teachers

Teacher plays an essential role in a child’s education journey, and your children deserve the best. At IMS, all our teachers are highly qualified and experienced in early childhood education. All of our teaching staff hold recognized Montessori certification and/or are fully accredited with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) or Early Childhood Education (ECE). All staff in our school facility is first aid and CPR trained. Continuing education and training is provided to all our teachers to ensure the delivery of high quality and updated programs for all of their classes. Our teacher to students ratio in the Pre-Casa/Toddler program is 1:5.

Potty Training

The one pre-requisite for our Casa Program is that your child must be toilet trained. By enrolling your child in the Toddler Program, we will work with each family to facilitate success in potty training.
